1. Scope
This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to all use of the Mayantar Service and all audio generated with it ("Output"). It forms part of the Terms & Conditions. Violating this AUP may result in content removal, disabling of Voice Clones, suspension or termination of your account, forfeiture of prepaid fees, and reporting to law enforcement where appropriate. You are responsible for the use of Output by anyone who obtained it from you.
2. Non-Consensual Voice Cloning (Prohibited)
- Do not clone, imitate or generate any person's voice without their prior, explicit, informed consent.
- Do not upload voice samples of minors under any circumstances, or of deceased persons without lawful authority from their estate.
- Do not clone the voices of public figures, celebrities or politicians without documented legal authority — public availability of someone's voice is not consent.
3. Impersonation, Fraud and Deception (Prohibited)
- Impersonating any person or entity, or presenting Output as a genuine recording of a real person or event.
- Fraud, scams, phishing, vishing, extortion, social engineering, or deceiving any person into transferring money, property or credentials.
- Defeating or attempting to defeat voice-based authentication, verification or security systems (including bank and call-centre verification).
- Fabricating statements, endorsements or confessions attributed to real people or organisations.
- Impersonating a bank, payment provider, government authority, court, police officer, healthcare provider, employer or family member, or creating a false instruction, approval, KYC response, authentication response or emergency request.
- Creating or spreading misinformation or disinformation, including content intended to mislead voters, interfere with elections or civic processes, or falsely present itself as news.
4. Harassment, Exploitation and Harmful Content (Prohibited)
- Harassing, threatening, intimidating, bullying, stalking or defaming any person.
- Any sexual content involving minors — this is absolutely prohibited and will be reported to authorities.
- Sexual content depicting a real, identifiable person without that person's explicit consent.
- Content that promotes or incites violence, terrorism, self-harm, or hatred against any person or group, including on grounds of religion, caste, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation or disability.
- Content that violates another person's privacy, publicity or personality rights, or discloses personal data of others without authority.
5. Illegal and Regulated Uses (Prohibited)
- Any use that violates applicable law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, the DPDP Act, 2023, telecom regulations, and equivalent laws of your jurisdiction.
- Unsolicited robocalls, automated calling campaigns, bulk voice messaging or telemarketing in violation of TRAI regulations (or the TCPA and equivalents outside India).
- Infringing any third party's copyright, trademark or other intellectual-property rights.
- Using the Service to provide, or present Output as, professional medical, legal, financial or emergency advice or communications, or in any safety-critical system.
- Using Output as evidence of identity, consent, attendance, authorship or a real-world event, or to make or automate a high-impact decision about employment, credit, insurance, housing, education, healthcare, policing or access to an essential service.
6. Platform Integrity (Prohibited)
- Removing, obscuring or circumventing watermarks, provenance metadata or AI-disclosure signals applied to Output.
- Circumventing usage limits, safety filters, moderation or security controls, or accessing the Service by any automated means not expressly permitted.
- Reverse-engineering the Service or using it (or Output) to build or train competing voice or speech models.
- Reselling or sublicensing the Service without our written agreement, or sharing accounts or API credentials.
7. Enforcement and Reporting
We may investigate suspected violations, use automated and manual review, preserve and disclose relevant information to authorities as required by law, and take any enforcement action described in the Terms & Conditions at our sole discretion and without prior notice. If you believe a voice — including your own — has been cloned or misused on the Service without consent, report it to grievance@bimbient.com. We prioritise reports of non-consensual voice cloning.
For urgent active fraud, threats, exploitation or danger, contact the appropriate police, cybercrime or emergency authority in addition to reporting the content to us. We may temporarily disable access to disputed Voice Clones or Output while preserving information needed for a fair investigation and lawful requests.
